Player Name: Runner
Character Name: Aaron Conner [personal profile] maskgunraid
Character Canon: Original Character
Character Personality: Aaron is an energetic and hyperactive teen who prefers to play video games more than anything. While he tends to get bored very easily when it comes to his studies and anything that doesn’t involve video games, he often becomes excited whenever there is a current event that he finds very interesting, seeing them as a “quest” or a “raid” to his goals, especially with the Phantom Inquisition. Despite his slacker personality, he is willing to finish a job for the sake of his goals.

But underneath his quirky persona is his hatred for the adults, especially to well-known ones such as politicians, celebrities, and even to his teachers. Due to his past, he is secretly distrustful of any adults except his stepfather, often pretending to be friendly to them to hide his bloodlust. It was his hatred for them that caused him to join the Inquisition’s cause and will fulfill their goals by any means necessary. He also willing to fight against anyone who defies their goals especially anyone who is the same age as him.

As Shooter, he shows his love of video games by speaking in video game terms, treating his fights as RPG battles and fights against the Phantom Thieves as boss battles. He also has a sadistic and mischievous side, willing to hurt his opponents to achieve his team’s goals as well luring some Shadows to distract them. However, when things didn’t go his way, he will lose his temper and attempts to kill anyone unless his fellow Inquisition teammate stops him.

Despite his hatred and sadistic personality, he still believes that what he is doing will help others from his parents’ fate. But unless he can see the truth behind his actions, he will ignore anything that he deems impossible to change the system.

Character History/Form of Rebellion: Born in New York, Aaron lived with his middle-classed parents who worked in their family’s general store. He spent his whole childhood playing with his mother and hearing stories from his father’s best friend. His love of video games ignited when he got his very own game console on his 7th birthday along with an RPG video game.

However, his life changed when he was 10 years old as his parents found themselves a huge debt from their supplier. And after a few days, his father suddenly disappeared without a word, which was rumored that he committed adultery in a desperate attempt to gain money. It quickly turned worst when his mother suddenly grew distant towards Aaron whenever she has gone home, even to the point of consuming herself from fear and paranoia about her husband. Eventually, when he was 11 years old, his mother committed suicide, devastating the young boy at the loss of his remaining loved one.

For the next few years, his father’s best friend adopted him and took care of the traumatized boy as his way to carry his friend’s promise to protect him at all times. At that time, his distraught slowly turned into anger when he found his mother’s suicide note, hinting that there was someone who pushed her to take her own life away. During his middle school days, he began investigating the cause of his mother’s suicide and his father’s disappearance, which he slowly discovered that one of his father’s friends (except his stepfather) seemed to be connected from all of this, namely the owner of the same supplier who gave his parents a huge debt. He attempted to question him, only for the owner to evade his questions to the point of evicting him out of his office when he asked too many questions.

Aaron didn’t get all of the answers until when he was 15 years old, the Metaverse Nav app installed into his phone, allowing him to enter the distribution company’s owner’s Palace where he learned the truth: His father was murdered by him and that he sexually assaulted his mother several times and blackmailing her to keep it a secret if she wanted to keep his hands off her son. And he wasn’t just the only person who did so as his father’s other friends were also involved by his parents’ deaths. Horrified and enraged, Aaron awakened his Persona and killed the owner to avenge his parents.

Distraught at what he had done, he tried not to use his Persona and the app again and tried to report the owner’s accomplices to the police, but he was instead ignored due to lack of evidence and their reputation. Wanting to find justice his own way and realizing how corrupted most of the adults around him, he proceeds to continue using his powers to murder the accomplices.

Now at 16 years old, he joined the Phantom Inquisition to aid them in ridding the world of corrupted adults, which he hoped that no one will suffer the same fate as his parents.

For his Form of Rebellion, he wears an asymmetrical black and red hoodie with straps creating an X-shaped pattern on the right sleeve of his long-sleeved shirt and a bandage pattern on his left sleeve, black pants, and red and black boots. His red mask is modeled after a jester's mask decor with red visor around his eyes. His ranged weapons are twin pistols and his melee weapon is a futuristic twin katars.

Character Persona:
Initial Persona: Billy Kid - A Persona modeled after the infamous American Old West outlaw, Billy the Kid, who killed eight men before his death. As a Persona, it has an appearance of a cowboy wearing blue virtual reality goggles, black vest, grey pants, black boots and a black cowboy hat with red Tron line-like patterns on the rim of it. It also wields two pistols that can shoot lasers. It can use Electric and Psychokinesis spells while it is weak against Fire and Gun.
Character Codename: Shooter
Sample:
II: The Priestess asks - What do you consider to be an undeniable truth?
”The truth is that even if we let go of those bad guys, nothing ever changes. As I learned as a kid, just letting them go means they will do anything to make life more miserable as ever! And even if those policemen arrest them, there is a chance they will continue their evil deeds when they are released. That’s why I won’t let them go so easily.”

VII: The Chariot asks - What is it that you cannot lose it and why?
"The only thing I cannot lose is my quest to bring down all of the corrupted adults around the world. My parents already suffered from their friends' greedy motives and I rather do everything to stop people like them so nobody can suffer the same fate as them."

VIII: The Justice asks - What does your justice entail?
”Simple. If an adult hurts someone or deceives them out of greed, then there’s hell to pay!”

XII: The Hanged Man asks - What do you sacrifice to achieve your goals?
”Namely my innocence and my morals. I know doing this makes me a murderer to the public eye, but I don’t care. As long as those corrupted jerks are dead, then the people won’t have to suffer like I do.”

XVII: The Star asks - What are your hopes and aspirations for the future?
”Other than becoming an E-Sports player, my hopes are that this city will be free of corrupted adults and we can live peacefully like before. If I worked hard, then I may able to help everyone to smile and be free from their greedy motives. That’s what my parents want anyway.”
