AU Planning Meme - January

Welcome to the January AU Workshop for Phantom Thieves International! This post is intended to help incoming players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go. This is completely optional but players are encouraged to use this post to establish some pre-existing CR and goals for their characters.

Character Name: Celes Chere/Celeste Winters
Original Canon: Final Fantasy VI
AU Role: Infiltrator
AU Species: Human!
AU History Blurb: The daughter of a local federal judge, Celeste has a very skewed view of justice due to her upbringing. It's expected that she will follow in her father's footsteps, and because of that is currently studying law at UCLA. There are rumors however that she is being boosted through due to some unsavory ties that her father has—and this has become something of a sore spot for Celeste, whether or not she admits that these allegations are true.
Which they are, whoops (thanks dad).
While she will be functioning as a normal NPC-type when first apped in, I plan on having this come to a head very early in, what will trigger her awakening as an infiltrator.
Tentative Plans for character: Besides a player-run awakening pretty soon after she is accepted (probably during the first plot event), I don't have much planned as of yet. I'm open to suggestions!
Pre-Established CR: Classmates (past or present), people with ties to her family (good or bad). As said above I am extremely open. Throw your ideas at me and we can make it work! I'm also toying with the idea of having her be somewhat musically inclined, so if that angle works for other characters lmk!
Desired CR: Someone please help this woman learn how to relax. She's kind of intense, especially take her from a much earlier canon point. Also people she can be the ever-suffering straight man at. She's good for that.
